Tottenham Hotspur agree Hugo Lloris deal?

Hugo Lloris's protracted transfer to Tottenham Hotspur may be nearing completion after Lyon claimed that they have agreed terms with Spurs over the goalkeeper.

The France captain has been a long-term target of Andre Villas-Boas, who is looking to provide competition for, and eventually replace, ageing stopper Brad Friedel.

A potential deal looked to have stalled on Thursday but it now seems to be back on the cards after Spurs agreed to restructure the payment and offer more cash up front.

Lloris is poised to travel to London to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical ahead of a reported £12m move.

Spurs currently have Carlo Cudicini and Heurelho Gomes as back-up, but the latter could leave White Hart Lane before tonight's 11pm deadline.
