Tottenham Hotspur may turn to Massimiliano Allegri if Mauricio Pochettino leaves the club at the end of the season, according to a report.

Departing Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has emerged as a rumoured target for Tottenham Hotspur, who are preparing for the possible exit of Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino stunned his bosses last week by admitting he will consider stepping down at the end of the season if Tottenham were to win a first Champions League crown.

The 47-year-old's side have defied the odds to make it to the Madrid final, where they will face Liverpool on June 1.

According to The Express, Spurs are already lining up a successor for the Argentinian in case he does bow out next month.

Allegri, who announced on Friday that he is to leave Juventus following five trophy-laden years in Turin, is said to be a possible option for Spurs.

Tottenham will have to give Allegri assurances of their spending power, however, having failed to bring in a single player over the last 16 months.

The six-time Serie A title winner is believed to be open to a switch to the Premier League, despite previously turning down advances from Manchester United and Arsenal.
