Andre Villas-Boas reveals desire to manage Tottenham Hotspur

AVB admits interest in Spurs job

Andre Villas-Boas has reportedly revealed that he is interested in taking over at Tottenham Hotspur.

The managerial job at White Hart Lane is now up for grabs following the Premier League club's decision to axe Harry Redknapp yesterday.

Everton boss David Moyes became the standout favourite to nab the position initially but the bookmakers have since slashed the odds on former Chelsea coach Villas-Boas on being appointed as the new manager.

The Portuguese coach, who was sacked from Stamford Bridge after just nine months in charge, is believed to have claimed that he would be open to a move to the North London club but is yet to receive any contact from Spurs, according to Sky Sports News.

The 34-year-old was recently linked with a move to Liverpool before former Swansea City coach Brendan Rodgers was appointed.
