Alex Pritchard to be handed first-team spot at Tottenham Hotspur?

Alex Pritchard in Spurs first-team frame?

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly keen for midfielder Alex Pritchard to be part of his first-team squad next season.

The 22-year-old enjoyed a productive loan spell at Championship side Brentford last term, which earned him a place in the England Under-21 squad for the European Championships.

Pritchard's tournament has been cut short, though, with an ankle injury ruling him out of action for several weeks.

Spurs are said to be hugely impressed by the youngster's impact at Griffin Park having monitored his progress with the Bees.

According to the Daily Mail, Pochettino wants to add Pritchard to the first-team setup at White Hart Lane.

Pritchard scored 12 goals in 45 Championship appearances for Brentford.
