Report: Mauricio Pochettino demands £3m for Tottenham Hotspur job

Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly told Tottenham Hotspur that he will leave the South Coast for a salary of £3m per year.

The Argentine is understood to hold a prominent place on Spurs' shortlist of names to replace the recently-sacked Tim Sherwood at White Hart Lane.

However, according to The Sun, Pochettino has demanded £3m per year to take charge of the Lilywhites, coupled with the selection of his own backroom staff.

On Thursday, it was reported that the 42-year-old would have to learn and conduct interviews in English if he were to take the reins in North London.

Pochettino guided the Saints to an eighth-place finish in the Premier League last season.
