Luiz Adriano hints at Shakhtar Donetsk exit

Shakhtar Donetsk forward Luiz Adriano says that he is "very happy" to have attracted the interest of Europe's biggest clubs.

Luiz Adriano has said that he could leave Shakhtar Donetsk if the club receives an offer suitable for all parties involved.

The 27-year-old has been linked with a number of Europe's biggest sides due to his impressive displays for the Ukrainian outfit, but he has insisted that he will not try to force through a move.

"I am very happy to be attracting interest from so many important clubs, but this is happening purely thanks to Shakhtar Donetsk, who gave me the opportunity to become known on the international stage," he told calciomercato.it.

"I have been in Ukraine for eight years and still have a year left on my contract. I intend to honour it and, if I were to leave, it would only be if an offer arrived that was good for me and the club. I am very grateful to Shakhtar for all they've done for me.

"I heard many rumours of interest from Italian teams, but so far I have not received any proposals. I am very happy that my style of play is appreciated. Roma are a great team with a long tradition behind them. It is an honour to be of interest to them. Serie A is very difficult and competitive, so every player would love to go there. Without doubt Italy is one of the countries I'd love to play in."

Adriano is the top scorer in this season's Champions League, having scored a joint-record nine goals in the group stages.
