Andrew Boyce joins Scunthorpe United

Scunthorpe United have signed Lincoln City defender Andrew Boyce on loan with a view to a permanent move.

The 24-year-old, who has made 66 first-team appearances for the Imps since moving to Sincil Bank in May 2012, initially joins the Iron on a deal that is due to expire on January 5.

However, Scunthorpe could extend his stay should they be suitably impressed with his performances at League Two level.

Boyce will not play for Scunthorpe at Portsmouth this afternoon. He will train with the managerless club for the first time on Monday.
