Julian Draxler 'sticking with Schalke 04'

Highly-rated midfielder Julian Draxler has reportedly turned down a lucrative move away to stay with Schalke 04.

According to Bild in Germany, the 19-year-old has decided to stay with the Gelsenkirchen club, despite interest from many top European clubs.

The playmaker signed a new contract with Schalke just last month but it is said to have a €45.5m (£39m) release clause and clubs are understood to be willing to meet that.

The teenager has already made six appearances at senior international level for Germany.
