Mauro Icardi's scores four in Sampdoria win

Sampdoria have hammered fellow relegation candidates Pescara 6-0 at home in Serie A, thanks to four goals from Mauro Icardi.

The hosts opened the scoring the half-hour mark from the penalty spot through Eder.

Icardi doubled his side's advantage three minutes before the half-time interval when he smashed home after being sent through by Pedro Obiang.

Obiang himself etched his name on the scoresheet five minutes into the second half with a curling finish for his first Serie A goal.

Icardi made it 4-0 to the Genoa outfit just six minutes later and completed his hat-trick on the hour mark with a simple tap-in from Eder's pass.

The 19-year-old striker scored his fourth goal of the afternoon in the 72nd minute with an accurate angled drive.
