Ross County achieve Scottish Premier League promotion

Ross County have gained promotion to the Scottish Premier League after closest rivals Dundee could only manage a 1-1 draw at Queen of the South this evening.

Queens' defender John Potter levelled in the 82nd minute, meaning that a point left Dundee 14 adrift of the leaders with just four games remaining.

The Staggies, who were admitted to the Scottish Football League in 1994, will make their SPL debut next season.
