Leandro Castan joins Roma

Roma have confirmed the signing of Brazilian defender Leandro Castan from Corinthians.

The 25-year-old has arrived at the Stadio Olimpico on a four-year deal for a transfer fee of £3.9m.

"A.S. Roma announces it has signed a contract with the outright acquisition of rights of the player Leandro da Silva Castan, against the registration of a fee equivalent to €5 million," read a statement on the club's official website.

"The player has signed a four-year contract that will expire on June 30, 2016."

Castan made 49 senior league appearances during his two-year spell at Corinthians, scoring two goals.
