Ireland see off Poland

Republic of Ireland have beaten Poland 2-0 in this evening's friendly at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

The home side went in ahead at the break thanks to Ciaran Clark's first international goal.

The Aston Villa defender was on hand to convert from a corner to give Ireland the lead.

The victory was sealed with 15 minutes left to play when Wes Hoolahan fired in his first goal for Ireland after Poland had failed to clear their lines.
