Real Madrid reportedly remain keen to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe before the end of the summer transfer window.
PSG are said to be still contemplating a bid worth in the region of £155m, leading to suggestions that Real may postpone their chase of the World Cup winner until 2022.
However, according to Sky Sports News, Los Blancos officials are prepared to stay alert to any decision made by the powers-that-be at Parc des Princes.
Mbappe is said to have no interest in extending his contract at PSG, potentially leading to a change of heart from his club over the coming hours.
Real will be free to hold formal discussions with the 22-year-old in January if no agreement is reached before the turn of the year.
