Man United, Arsenal 'will battle Real Madrid for Ruiz deal'

Manchester United and Arsenal will reportedly battle Real Madrid for the signature of Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz during this summer's transfer window.

The Spain international has entered the final 18 months of his contract in Naples, and there has been intense speculation surrounding his future in recent weeks.

Napoli are allegedly prepared to sell the midfielder this summer for a fee in the region of €50m (£41.8m), and Ruiz is believed to be pushing to join Real Madrid ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

However, according to Tuttomercatoweb, both Man United and Arsenal are also determined to sign the 25-year-old during this summer's transfer window.

The report claims that Ruiz is only earning €50,000 (£42,000) a week at his current club, which is significantly less than the two Premier League teams would be prepared to pay him to move to England.

The Spaniard has again been an important player for the Blues during the 2021-22 campaign, making 28 appearances in all competitions, contributing six goals and four assists in the process.
