Mikel San Jose believes that Cristiano Ronaldo would become a better player if he stopped moaning and complaining.

Mikel San Jose has criticised Cristiano Ronaldo for complaining about the physical approach that the Athletic Bilbao players took against him on Sunday.

The Portuguese forward scored twice at San Mames as Real Madrid won the La Liga match 3-0, but he also expressed his frustration throughout the contest at the opponents' treatment of him and the home fans' jeers.

"I think it, and so do the majority of people in football," ESPN quotes San Jose as saying when asked if Ronaldo deserved the jeers.

"If he just concentrated on playing football, and not on other things, he would be the same or an even better player, but I would have more respect for him."

Gonzalo Higuain scored the third goal for Madrid.
