Real Madrid team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Las Palmas

Real Madrid injury, suspension list vs. Las Palmas

Real Madrid will be looking to bounce back from their first defeat of the season when they welcome Las Palmas to the Bernabeu on Wednesday evening.

Despite dominating large spells of Sunday's showdown, Los Blancos suffered a 3-1 loss against arch-rivals Atletico Madrid, meaning that Carlo Ancelotti's side trail Barcelona and Girona by one point in the La Liga table.

There are still question marks over the availability of key forward Vinicius Junior, who has missed the past few games, although Jude Bellingham is fit and firing.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Real Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Las Palmas, who picked up their first win of the season last time out.

Vinicius Junior

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Illness Possible return date: September 27 (vs. Las Palmas)

Vinicius has recovered from a hamstring injury but missed Sunday's defeat to Atletico through illness, so it remains to be seen whether he will feature on Wednesday.

Dani Carvajal

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: September 27 (vs. Las Palmas)

Carvajal has missed the previous two games due to a muscle issue, but the experienced right-back could return to face Las Palmas in midweek.

Eder Militao

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Militao sustained an ACL injury on the opening weekend of the season and faces a battle to return to first-team action before the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

Thibaut Courtois

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Like Militao, Courtois is sidelined due to an ACL injury, and the Belgian goalkeeper could miss the remainder of the season following surgery.

Arda Guler

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Although Guler is back in training after undergoing knee surgery, it is unlikely that the Turkish wonderkid will feature on Wednesday.
