Mbappe 'reluctant to sign new long-term PSG deal'

Kylian Mbappe reportedly has little intention of penning a new long-term contract at Paris Saint-Germain.

The World Cup winner is currently flourishing under Mauricio Pochettino, helping the club reach the Champions League semi-finals by progressing past champions Bayern Munich.

However, the France international has less than 15 months remaining on his contract, inevitably leading to frequent speculation regarding his future.

While Pochettino and sporting director Leonardo are desperate to retain the services of the forward, L'Equipe claims that Mbappe does not want to commit himself to several more years at his current club.

A situation could arise where Mbappe pens a small extension to his current terms due to the implications of the coronavirus pandemic.

Nevertheless, with Real Madrid in the running for his signature, the report suggests that the attacker does not intend on spending the next phase of his career in Ligue 1.
