PSG return to the top of the Ligue 1 table after a confident 4-1 victory over struggling Ajaccio.

Paris Saint-Germain struck two contenders for Goal of the Season as they secured a stylish win over struggling Ajaccio at Parc des Princes.

Javier Pastore opened the scoring after 27 minutes. The Argentine played a give-and-go with Blaise Matuidi, before sneaking into the penalty area and supplying a delicate left-footed finish.

Two minutes later, the lead was doubled with an even better goal. Pastore found Jeremy Menez with a cleverly disguised pass and the tricky winger came inside onto his right foot to curl past the helpless Guillermo Ochoa.

The visitors halved the deficit just before the break, as Yoann Poulard followed up to tap home after Salvatore Sirigu had made a spectacular save to deny Fousseni Diawara.

The Parisians wrapped up the win four minutes from time when Nene drove at the heart of the Ajaccio defence before flicking the ball through for Guillaume Hoarau to stab past Ochoa.

Nene then completed the rout in stoppage time with a simple finish from Clement Chantome's square pass.

The win sees Carlo Ancelotti's side return to the top spot in Ligue 1, one point ahead of Montpellier.
