With Plymouth in need of inspiration, they may find it in the fact that they have won each of their previous three competitive home games against Leyton Orient.

Leyton Orient face the tough challenge of lifting themselves to go again after falling short in last season's playoff final against Charlton Athletic at Wembley.

The O's started their latest top-six bid with a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Huddersfield Town, before they got on the board with a 2-0 home win over Wigan Athletic.

After losing to Wycombe Wanderers in the EFL Cup, Richie Wellens's side looked set to fall to another defeat when they conceded two goals in Saturday's league meeting with Stockport County.

They will now head on their travels for their first meeting with Plymouth since falling to a 2-0 defeat in the EFL Trophy in August 2023.

Plymouth are expected to be without Conor Hazard, Julio Pleguezuelo, Jack MacKenzie, Freddie Issaka and Jamie Paterson.
