Bortolo Mutti appointed Palermo coach

Bortolo Mutti has been appointed the new coach of Palermo on the same day that Devis Mangia was sacked by the club.

Mutti has been out of work since being fired as Bari coach following their relegation from Serie A last season.

The 57-year-old has become Palermo's 21st manager since Maurizio Zamparini assumed control of the club in 2002.

He will officially be presented as the new man at the helm during a press conference tomorrow.
