Nuremburg, Hertha Berlin share points

Hiroshi Kiyotake's 88th-minute strike sees Nuremburg rescue a 2-2 draw with Hertha Berlin.

Hiroshi Kiyotake's 88th-minute strike saw Nuremburg rescue a 2-2 draw with Hertha Berlin, after the away side had earlier come back from a goal down to lead.

Nuremburg came from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw away at Hoffenheim last week, while Hertha thrashed Eintracht Frankfurt 6-1.

Hiroshi Kiyotake and Daniel Ginczek, both goalscorers in last week's victory, started for the hosts. Hertha suffered a blow in the build-up to the game with the news that Johannes van den Bergh is out for two weeks, with Cristoph Janker filling the centre-half void.

Kiyatoke and Ginczek almost combined to put the home side in front after 21 minutes, but the German's effort cannoned back of the post.

Anis Ben-Hatira came within whiskers of opening the scoring on the half-hour mark, but a superb last-ditch challenge by Markus Feulner denied the midfielder.

Just a minute later, Ben-Hatira was thwarted once more by a smart Raphael Schafer save.

The misses proved costly as Josip Drmic's rolled the ball beyond Thomas Kraft to give the home side the advantage at the break.

Hertha got back into the game with a bit of good fortune when Sami Allagui's wayward shot went in off the chest of Nuremburg's Berkay Dabanli.

The goal seemed to give the visitors a confidence rarely seen in the opening 45 minutes and the turnaround was complete in the 78th minute.

Javier Pinola fouled Fabian Lustenberger in the box and the Brazilian midfielder Ronny slotted the ball home calmly.

With the away side seemingly set for maximum points after two games, Kiyotake curled a wonderful 88th-minute strike home to share the spoils.
