Dougie Freedman wants two more signings at Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest boss Dougie Freedman reveals that he is looking to sign two more players before the new season begins.

Nottingham Forest manager Dougie Freedman has revealed that he is looking to sign two more players before the new season starts.

The Reds, who are under a transfer embargo for breaching Financial Fair Play rules, begin their Championship campaign with a trip to Brighton & Hove Albion on Friday night.

The transfer restrictions mean that Freedman has two spaces left to fill in his squad, and the 41-year-old has insisted that he wants to make the right additions.

"I only want to work with quality, I only want to work with good players," Freedman told the Nottingham Post. "I could go and sign a striker tomorrow, very easily. I can show that I can do that.

"But I do not want players who want to be here for the wrong reasons. I might leave myself short, in those forward positions, in the short term. But I believe that is the best way to be, if we do get the players we want.

"I will keep working on this until they either sign for us or sign for another club; I will keep on top of them. These are the two players I want. I have another option, waiting in the wings. But these are the two players I want to see make happen. They are the right age and have the energy that is required to be part of this team."

Forest have signed Matt Mills, Jamie Ward, Ben Hamer and Daniel Pinillos so far this summer.
