Wigley to become Forest assistant?

Steve Wigley will reportedly become Stuart Pearce's assistant manager at Nottingham Forest after leaving his role as Fulham Under-18 boss.

The 52-year-old led Fulham's youngsters to the final of FA Youth Cup last week, where they lost 7-6 to Chelsea on aggregate.

Wigley, who is a former Forest player and coach, assisted Pearce at Manchester City and with the England Under-21s.

According to BBC Radio Nottingham, he will take up the same position at the City Ground when Pearce becomes manager on July 1.

Wigley made 82 appearances for Forest between 1981 and 1985.
