The Football League announced yesterday that vanishing spray will be used in the Championship and Leagues One and Two from January 1.
The spray, which helps keep a defensive wall 10 yards away from a free kick, is already used in the Premier League and has been trialled by the Football League in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy this season.
A Football League statement read: "Having received positive feedback from clubs, referees and supporters, the League has instructed the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) to begin using the product in all matches played in the Sky Bet Football League, Capital One Cup and Johnstone's Paint Trophy from the mid-point of the current campaign."
The League also announced a staggered conclusion to the final day of this season.
The Championship's 46th gameweek will take place at 12.15pm on May 2, 2015, with League One's conclusion at 3pm the same day before League Two comes to a close at 12.15pm on the following day.
