Ronaldo confirms playing return

Brazilian legend Ronaldo will come out of retirement to play for North American Soccer League club Fort Lauderdale Strikers.

Brazilian World Cup winner Ronaldo has confirmed that he is to come out of retirement.

The 38-year-old has not played in four years, but after returning to training he will turn out for Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the North American Soccer League.

"It's going to happen," Ronaldo told Lance!. "I have already said so. But it's going to be a bit later, in the playoffs.

"For now, we are organising it all, but I am going to have a [weight] goal."

Ronaldo was named the FIFA World Player of the Year three times and scored 62 goals in 98 appearances for Brazil.
