The Qatari royal family are reportedly planning to try to introduce a new 24-team club tournament known as the 'Dream-Football League'.
Europe's leading sides will be offered huge financial rewards to compete in the competition that will take place every two years in Qatar and neighbouring Gulf states, according to The Times.
The plans for the DFL will be reportedly be released next month as Qatar bids to establish itself as a serious name in world football.
Qatar will host the 2022 World Cup.
