Jan Vertonghen has hinted that he may stay with Dutch club Ajax until his contract expires in 2013.
The Belgian defender has been linked with host of clubs this month, including Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
Vertonghen has admitted that he will move on at some stage, but has warned potential suitors that they may have to wait for his signature.
"I will definitely stay for another six months," he told the club's official website.
"I'll just see what happens after that. Everybody knows that I'm an ambitious guy, but it's not like a summer transfer is a must.
"I want to make the next step in my career at some point, but it's very well possible that I will stay at Ajax until the end of my contract."
The 24-year-old is the current captain of Ajax.
