Jamaica have received an official warning from FIFA over a pitch invasion that occurred after the national team's 2-1 win over the United States this month.
Scores of fans ran onto the field when the full-time whistle sounded, marking the country's first ever victory over the Americans.
"We can confirm that a warning has been issued against the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) following the events that occurred after the match between Jamaica and United States," FIFA said in a statement.
JFF president Horace Burrell responded by pledging to increase security at home matches to ensure that such an incident does not reoccur.
They have informed us that if this happens again, very serious sanctions will be taken against Jamaica so let me appeal to spectators not to ever run on to the field," Burrell told Jamaican media.
"If it is felt that invading the field is a threat to the players and the officials, then FIFA would simply ban the National Stadium as a venue for play."
Jamaica are currently level with the USA and Guatemala on seven points in Group A in round three of the CONCACAF region World Cup qualifiers.
