Ex-Italy international Gennaro Gattuso 'investigated for alleged match-fixing'

Gattuso 'investigated for match-fixing'

Former AC Milan and Italy international Gennaro Gattuso is reportedly under investigation by police for alleged match-fixing.

The 35-year-old is said to be part of a probe looking into illegal betting in football, with reports claiming that four men have been taken into custody.

While Gattuso has not been arrested by the authorities, the retired footballer's house has been raided, as has the home of fellow Italian Cristian Brocchi, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Gattuso is currently out of work after being sacked as Palermo manager in September.
