Robbie Fowler seeks management role

Former Liverpool and England striker Robbie Fowler admits that he would like to be given an opportunity in management.

Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler has revealed that he is keen on taking up a role in management.

The 36-year-old recently returned to England following playing spells in Australia and Thailand.

Having had his first taste of management during his stint abroad, Fowler has said that he is hoping that another chairman will be prepared to give him a chance.

"I have thought about it and I have done it as I was manager in Thailand which I am not too sure how many people are aware of," he told Sky Sports News.

"We finished third in the league and were third when we took over and we got them to the cup final - and I really enjoyed that part of it, so my foot is firmly on the ladder and I would love to partake in it again."

Fowler recently saw a playing deal with Championship side Blackpool fall through.
