Former Nigeria international Rashidi Yekini has passed away at the age of 48 after suffering from an unspecified illness.
The striker, who earned 58 caps for his country, is the Super Eagles' all-time record scored with 37 goals.
Yekini is best known for his famous celebration at the 1994 World Cup, when he scored Nigeria's first ever goal in the competition in a group match against Bulgaria.
The player began his career at UNTL Kaduna in 1981 before going on to play in Europe. He enjoyed a successful stint in Portugal with Vitoria Setubal, and later plied his trade in Greece, Spain, Switzerland and Saudi Arabia.
Yekini finished his career in his native Nigeria in 2003, playing for Julius Berger, although he did come out of retirement to join Gateway United for a brief spell in 2005.
His body will be buried in his home town of Offa in Kwara State.
