FL clubs to lose 12 points for entering administration

The Football League have increased the number of points that will be deducted from any club entering administration next season.

A 12-point penalty will now be imposed on any team encountering severe financial problems, which is two points more than would have been handed out during the previous campaign.

Changes have also been made to the club ownership policy, with teams now being obliged to notify the Football League should an individual acquire a shareholding of at least 10%.

The next Football League campaign is scheduled to begin on August 8.
