Former Newcastle United winger David Ginola has been released from hospital following a skiing accident in France.
The 45-year-old broke five ribs when he collided with another skier at the resort of Portes du Mont-Blanc on Tuesday.
A spokesman for the Frenchman said that he was overwhelmed with the support from the public.
Ginola played for Newcastle, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Everton during his 17-year playing career.
