Report: Newcastle United's Papiss Cisse baffled by Trabzonspor link

Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse was baffled by speculation linking him with a move to Turkish side Trabzonspor, according to a report.

Cisse fell out with the club's hierarchy over their sponsorship deal with moneylenders Wonga, but has now resolved the dispute and scored in Tuesday's 2-0 pre-season friendly win at St Mirren.

Despite the Magpies' ongoing search for strikers, Cisse was surprised when he heard himself being mentioned as a possible target for the Turkish outfit, reports The Chronicle.

Cisse joined Newcastle from German club Hamburg in January 2012.
