Newcastle United confirm Davide Santon exit

Newcastle United defender Davide Santon has completed a loan move back to former club Inter Milan.

Earlier on Monday, Santon announced on social media that he was returning to San Siro, but Newcastle quickly denied that a deal had been finalised.

However, the Magpies have released a statement confirming that the full-back, who has made just one appearance this season, will play for Inter for the remainder of the season.

The Serie A club have an option to buy the 24-year-old in the summer.
