Coach Marc Bircham leaves Queens Park Rangers for Millwall

Marc Bircham has left Queens Park Rangers to move across London and join fellow Championship club Millwall as a first-team coach.

The 35-year-old, who had long spells with both clubs as a player, leaves his role as head coach of QPR's Elite Development Squad to join new Millwall manager Ian Holloway at The Den.

Bircham told the QPR website: "I've loved every minute of my time at QPR as a coach, as I did as a player, especially working with [Rangers boss Harry Redknapp] and his staff over the last year or so.

"Ultimately though, the opportunity to join Millwall and to link up with Ollie again, was one I couldn't turn down.

"I want to manage at first team level one day and this is the next stage of my development as a coach."

Bircham was managed by Holloway at QPR between 2002 and 2006.
