Manchester United are reportedly targeting a shock swoop for Sheffield Wednesday right-back Hayden White.
The 17-year-old has impressed with his performances in the Owls' Under-21 team this season, despite his lack of experience.
United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been alerted to the teenager's promise and will line up a move for White in the summer, according to the The People.
White moved into defence this season after starting his career as a winger.
