A number of MLS clubs have reportedly approached Manchester United attacker Juan Mata to register their interest in signing him on a free transfer.
The 33-year-old's contract with the Red Devils is due to expire at the end of June, and it is highly unlikely that the English club will be offering him the chance to sign an extension.
Mata has only made five appearances for Man United this season, three of which have come in the Champions League, and he has not played a single minute of Premier League football in 2021-22.
The Spaniard allegedly has no plans to retire from professional football this summer despite suggestions that he could become a coach at Old Trafford next term.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Mata has received offers to play in the MLS, with a number of clubs keen to secure his signature later this year.
The playmaker has scored 51 goals and registered 47 assists in 278 appearances for Man United since making the move from their Premier League rivals Chelsea in January 2014.
