Liverpool are keen to sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer, according to a report.

Liverpool are reportedly preparing to approach the agent of Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to discuss a possible move for the Serbian during this summer's transfer window.

The 26-year-old enjoyed an impressive 2020-21 campaign at club level, scoring eight times and registering 11 assists in 41 appearances in all competitions.

Manchester United are believed to be admirers of the midfielder, with a recent report claiming that the Red Devils had launched an enquiry.

According to Il Messaggero, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan of Milinkovic-Savic and is keen to bring him to Anfield ahead of next season.

The report claims that the Reds are currently preparing to contact the midfielder's agent to determine whether a deal could be possible in the current market.

Milinkovic-Savic, who still has three years left to run on his contract with Lazio, has scored 47 goals and registered 38 assists in 247 appearances for I Biancocelesti since arriving from Genk in 2015.
