Radamel Falcao: 'I want to stay at Manchester United'

Colombian striker Radamel Falcao insists that he wants to remain at loan club Manchester United despite not getting many minutes on the pitch under Louis van Gaal.

Manchester United loanee Radamel Falcao has insisted that he wants to remain at the club despite the limited playing time being given to him at Old Trafford.

The Colombian striker has been out injured for a number of weeks and also faces stiff competition from a frontline that includes Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and the rising James Wilson, who were all chosen above Falcao to face Liverpool last weekend.

"We talk a lot, the coach and I. He has a philosophy that I respect," said Falcao, according to the Daily Mail.

"I have had an injury, and I have had to wait for the opportunity to play. From my point of view, yes I want to stay.

"Obviously I have to analyse the situation, see if I play more and see what decision the board takes. But from my point of view, I really want to stay."

Since arriving on loan from Monaco in the summer, the 28-year-old forward has only bagged one goal for the club.
