There were a few noteworthy goalkeeping performances over the weekend, with Ederson keeping a clean sheet as well as producing an incredible assist, Sam Johnstone rescuing West Brom a point against his former club with a late fingertip save onto the post and Lukasz Fabianski making five saves to protect his clean sheet.
There was only one man getting the gloves this week, though, with Emiliano Martinez producing a man-of-the-match display to almost single-handedly keep Brighton at bay. The Villa shot-stopper made no fewer than nine saves, and without him in such fine form Brighton would have comfortably come away with a deserved three points.
