Manchester United defender Luke Shaw is determined to put his injury problems behind him and fight for his place in the starting lineup.
The 19-year-old made the move to Old Trafford from Southampton in the summer for a fee in the region of £27m, although he has endured a frustrating time thus far having suffered two injury setbacks.
A tight hamstring saw him miss the start of the campaign, while more recently he was ruled out of action for six weeks after injuring his ankle against Arsenal.
Despite this, Shaw, who made his comeback as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur earlier this week, insists that he is raring to go ahead of the second half of the Premier League campaign.
"I'm feeling really good", he told MUTV. "It's always a big setback when you get an injury having already come back from another one.
"It's been frustrating – my United career hasn't really got going yet. I think I had a run of seven games before picking up an injury against Arsenal; that knocked me down, but I'm now fit and raring to go.
"Hopefully I can stay fit and won't get any more injuries. I'm raring to get back into the team now."
Shaw has been restricted to making just eight appearances for United this term.
