Rio Ferdinand speaks out over race row

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has criticised the FA over their investigation into claims that John Terry racially abused Anton Ferdinand.

Rio Ferdinand, Anton's brother, tweeted: "Powers that be do make stands on certain issues I see. #selective."

The 33-year-old was referring to the FA's appeals to FIFA to allow the England team to wear poppies on their shirts when they face Spain at Wembley on Saturday.

Rio Ferdinand has missed out on selection for the England friendlies, while John Terry has been named in the squad to face Spain and Sweden.
