A former colleague of Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino was spotted alongside current Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick on Thursday.
Paul Mitchell, the current Monaco Sporting Director, was pictured sitting with Rangnick in the stands at Old Trafford for the quarter-final tie between United and Leicester City in the FA Youth Cup.
Pochettino worked alongside Mitchell in his former managerial roles at both Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur, and the current PSG boss has been widely tipped to take over from Rangnick at the Red Devils in the summer.
Having moved to France in January 2021, it has been well speculated that the Argentinian could be relieved of his duties in Paris at the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
Both United and Real Madrid are said to regard Pochettino as one of their priority targets to take over their respective hotseats, and it is not yet clear whether the meeting between Rangnick and Mitchell has any meaning to it.
However, it has also been suggested in recent days that Pochettino is said to favour a move to the Spanish capital over a return to England, as he prepares his side to face Saint Etienne in Ligue 1 on Saturday.
