Jose Mourinho: "Paul Pogba can make football history"

Jose Mourinho suggests that France are unable to get the best out of Paul Pogba, but backs the midfielder to "make football history" at club level with Manchester United.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has tipped superstar midfielder Paul Pogba to become an all-time great at Old Trafford.

The 24-year-old started his second campaign back at the club in impressive style before being struck down by a hamstring problem, likely ruling him out for another month.

Mourinho has confidence that Pogba can become a legend at club level in the years to come, but is doubtful whether France boss Didier Deschamps is currently getting the best out of the £89m former Juventus midfielder.

"Paul can make football history," he told Telefoot. "He has talent. We have the balance in midfield to occupy space better [this season]. [Partnered] with [Blaise] Matuidi [for France], I think he isn't happy."

Pogba, who has been absent from the United squad since the 3-0 win over Basel on September 12, returned to light training earlier this week.
