Juan Mata: 'Manchester United must be wary of Leicester City'

Manchester United will need to be "very careful" when they take on Leicester City next weekend, according to Juan Mata.

Juan Mata has warned his Manchester United teammates that they must be "very careful" when they come up against Leicester City at the weekend.

The Foxes have been the Premier League's surprise package this term, having won eight times to top the table after 13 matches.

In Jamie Vardy, they also have the division's leading goalscorer, who equalled Ruud van Nistelrooy's record of having scored in 10 successive games during Saturday's 3-0 win over Newcastle United.

Having taken all of that into consideration, Mata has admitted that the second-placed Red Devils will have to be on their guard when they travel to the King Power Stadium.

"Our next rival in the Premier League is Leicester. [Claudio] Ranieri's team is having a remarkable season and the proof is that they are top of the League," the Spanish playmaker wrote on his blog.

"In particular Vardy and (Riyad) Mahrez are outstanding, playing at an exceptional level. We will have to be very careful with them."

On their last visit to the East Midlands, United were beaten 5-3.
