De Gea could need eye surgery

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea could undergo eye surgery at the end of the season.

The Spaniard, who is long-sighted, currently plays in contact lenses.

However, United's optometrist had advised the 21-year-old to have laser eye treatment at the end of the campaign.

De Gea joined the Premier League champions from Atletico Madrid in summer 2011.
