Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick has admitted that the 2014-15 campaign was been a "frustrating year" for him.
The 33-year-old was sidelined until November with an ankle injury that he suffered during pre-season training and consequently made just 22 appearances in all competitions.
Reflecting on the season from a personal point of view, the England international told the club's official website: "It's been a frustrating year for me. I've never had a season like this before in my career, so it's very frustrating to miss so many games.
"When I've played it has gone all right and I've been quite happy with the way it's gone, but I just haven't played enough."
Carrick has been at Old Trafford since arriving from Tottenham Hotspur in 2006.
