Anzhi Makhachkala enter Dimitar Berbatov race

Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala are the latest team to have been linked with a move for Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov, according to talkSPORT.

The 30-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and has a result the Red Devils are reportedly open to offers during the ongoing transfer window.

Speculation heightened earlier this week when the Bulgarian was seen boarding a plane to Germany, with Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen both said to be interested in his services.

However, it now appears that the German duo face competition from Anzhi, who would be able to offer the centre-forward a lucrative deal.
