Rusnak leaves City for Groningen

Groningen have completed the signing of Manchester City midfielder Albert Rusnak.

Rusnak was signed by City in 2010, but despite several years in the reserve setup and a number of loan spells, the 20-year-old failed to manage a first-team appearance for the Premier League champions.

The Slovakia Under-21 international has spent the first half of this campaign on loan at Cambuur, where he has netted four times in 17 matches.

However, that form proved enough to alert Eredivisie rivals Groningen, who have moved swiftly to tie up a permanent deal for Rusnak.
